This poster presents a study that aims to move the discourse on international students beyond deficit narratives by rethinking international mobility as preparation for engaging with complexity in a rapidly changing world. Based on interviews at three US universities, it introduces the metacognitive stance – an ethical capacity to hold multiple, historically grounded logics within an evolving whole and navigate diverse ways of knowing.
Please note, posters are divided between the SEC Centre and the Crown Plaza Hotel this year. The approximate walking time between the two locations is 4 minutes. Posters ending between 01 and 16 will be found in the SEC Centre Concourse, posters ending between 17 and 30 will be found in the Crown Plaza Hotel, Argyll Foyer.
