Collaborative Online International Learning is an educational method used to internationalise the curriculum and facilitate students’ collaborative learning of curricular content and intercultural skills. This poster presents our experimental research using control conditions to test the effectiveness of COIL in boosting students’ intercultural competence development. We have also looked at the instructional design of COIL to test which design is most effective.
