Marco Calvi is the Head of Unit for International Promotion and Marketing at Uni-Italia.
He holds a Master's Degree in European Studies from Sapienza University of Rome. He began his professional career with Uni-Italia at its Indonesia office, where he was responsible for promoting the Italian higher education system and supporting its international visibility in the local market.
Since returning to Rome in 2018, he has been leading Uni-Italia's international marketing and promotional activities, working closely with Italian higher education institutions, public authorities, and strategic partners to enhance the global visibility and attractiveness of Study in Italy.
Katharina Fleckenstein is Head of the Division Internationalisation of Higher Education in Germany at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). In this role, she is responsible for a broad portfolio of programmes supporting the internationalisation of German higher education, including institutional cooperation, international mobility, talent development, and strategic partnerships.
From 2019 to 2024, Katharina Fleckenstein headed the DAAD Regional Office in Mexico City and the Information Centre in San José, Costa Rica, with responsibility for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Prior to this, she led DAAD scholarship programmes for North Africa and the Middle East and was seconded to Afghanistan as Senior Advisor in the joint DAAD–GIZ project Academic Mining Education in Afghanistan.
Earlier in her career, she worked as Senior Desk Officer for DAAD’s Pakistan programmes in Bonn. Throughout her career, she has worked across Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, South Asia, and Afghanistan.
