Elisabeth te Hennepe
Joint Reaserch Centre, European Commission, Netherlands
Elisabeth te Hennepe MA MSc is a policy advisor with expertise in internationalisation and the digital transition of education. She currently serves as an External Policy Advisor to the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, on the implications of Artificial Intelligence for the education sector.
Her journey into internationalisation began in the winter of 2014, where a casual student job at the university’s International Office unexpectedly sparked a long-term professional passion. Over the years, she has been involved in a wide range of institutional projects – from summer schools to Erasmus+ grant writing, from crisis communication to policy advising.
Since 2022, she has worked with organisations at both national and European levels, including roles at the Dutch Platform Talent for Technology and Nuffic. There, she contributed to initiatives supporting ICT education, digital skills, and Internationalisation at Home.
When she is not deep into policy papers, Elisabeth can be found as a trainer and facilitator in Erasmus+ youth projects. Supporting young people in finding their voice in an ever-changing world is a cause close to her heart.
