World Café session

This event will provide an overview of the Community of Practice FOREU4ALL and the ways it can be useful for other institutions and stakeholders outside European University Alliances. During this interactive session, participants will be invited to discuss potential opportunities in educational programmes, such as micro credentials, joint degrees, and skills; and explore potential cooperation formats and partnerships. Half of the session will be interactive to assess the needs and collaboration options of Higher Education institutions (European and Global) that are not members of European Universities initiative.

Ioana Dewandeler

European Commission, Belgium

Ioana Dewandeler is a Policy Officer for Higher Education in the  European Commission's Directorate General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture where she is coordinating the policy dimension of the European Universities initiative. Ioana has over 17 years prior experience in various positions within the European Commission in the fields of higher education policy, strategic coordination of the Erasmus+ programme, research and innovation project and policy management in the social sciences and humanities, and in the socio-economic dimension of transport research policies.
She studied economic and social public administration and EU law and litigation in Romania and France.

Meritxell Chaves

CHARM-EU Alliance and co-lead of FOREU4ALL Communication and Dissemination , Spain

Meritxell Chaves is the Secretary General of European University of CHARM-EU since the start of the initiative in 2019 and is part of the FOREU4ALL management team and the Forum Board, leading Communication and dissemination. She has more than thirty years of experience in the higher education sector, in four universities of the Catalan university system (Universitat de Barcelona, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Universitat de Girona, and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), in different functional areas of the University such as academic management, strategic planning, quality and accreditation, and international relations in different organisational cultures.
