Judy Peter

Professor Judy Peter is the Senior Director in the International Office at Nelson Mandela University. She has a strong academic background, with publications in the fields of gender studies, post-colonial studies, and cultural studies in both national and international journals. Her work has been presented at various academic conferences globally. Additionally, she has been actively involved in several key professional platforms, including the South African Visual Arts Historians, the College Art Association, the Arts Council of the African Studies Association, and the South African Jewellery Council.
Judy Peter has also chaired numerous panels and presented at prominent conferences such as APAIE, the Diversity Conference, IEASA, and ASA. She participated in the AIEA Leadership Programme in 2019, served as a member of the AIEA Conference Committee from 2020 to 2023, and is a member of the AIEA Board from 2022 to 2024. Additionally, she was part of the Diversity Abroad Race and Ethnicity Task Force from 2019 to 2020.
