This session will provide a different perspective to the concept of the student journey, from the decision-making process through to post-enrolment retention. We will look at global drivers that motivate international education mobility; local culture and its impact on students’ willingness to continue their studies; and examples of best practice in offsetting the problems that international students may encounter.
Archie Pollock is a Senior Consultant and Team Lead for Business Development in the StudyPortals Analytics & Consulting Team. With over 15 years of experience in international education, Archie has held various roles in marketing, digital strategy, and business development. Before joining StudyPortals, he was the regional manager for UK and Europe at Higher Education Marketing (HEM), where he spent over five years. His focus at StudyPortals is on helping universities make data-driven decisions in their student recruitment strategies.
Archie frequently presents at industry conferences and contributes articles on topics such as international student recruitment and talent retention. His career began in 2009, and he has since become well-regarded for his insights into using data to enhance university marketing and outreach efforts
