Marina Casals Sala

Marina is the Director of Member Relations for Europe and the UK at ISEP Study Abroad, a non-profit dedicated to making study abroad accessible for all. She collaborates with over 74 European higher education institutions within a global network of 300+ partners.
She holds a PhD in International Higher Education from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Italy), a master’s from Universidad Antonio de Nebrija (Spain), and a bachelor’s from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. With over 25 years of experience in internationalization, she has worked in Spain, Finland, and Morocco.
Previously, she led international strategy as Director of International Relations at Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Spain) and served in the EAIE Leadership and on the CHEI Board. She is the creator of SUCTI (Systemic University Change Towards Internationalisation), an award-winning training program empowering university administrative staff.
A frequent speaker and trainer, Marina has received the EAIE Rising Star Award and the SGroup IMPACT Award. SUCTI has been recognised with the European Commission Good Practice label, the 2019 EAIE President’s Award, and the 2024 AIEA Innovative Excellence in Internationalisation Award.
