Educational developers or pedagogical advisers are often overlooked in internationalisation, but European university alliances offer a unique opportunity to reposition them as central actors in internationalisation. This session will examine how their involvement can drive meaningful change within institutions, and we will argue for their recognition as key stakeholders in alliance governance, educational strategy and implementation.
Hanan EL KHADIR is a Pedagogical Advisor at the University of Tours, France, where she coordinated a work package dedicated to enhancing teaching and learning within the NEOLAiA European University Alliance. In this role, she led collaborative initiatives in pedagogical innovation, facilitated the exchange of expertise among partner universities, and supported the development of joint educational activities and the Alliance’s long-term objectives.
With more than ten years of experience in education, including as a teacher of French as a Foreign Language, she has worked extensively in educational, linguistic, and higher education cooperation for French public institutions in France and internationally.
Throughout her career, she has contributed to bilateral and multilateral higher education initiatives involving partners in North Africa, Southeast Asia, and across Europe. She has also designed and delivered professional development programmes for academics and educational leaders in France and abroad.
Her expertise includes pedagogical development, capacity building, international educational project management, and strategic support for institutional partnerships in teaching and learning.
