Nunu Mitskevich

Dr. Nunu Mitskevich is Executive Director of the LEPL International Education Center of Georgia, a position she has held since 2023. Prior to this, she served as the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, supervising Higher Education Institutions and Research Centers. She played a key role in shaping national education policy and advancing international cooperation in the sector.
With a PhD in Biology (Immunology/Allergology) and over two decades of experience in academia, research, and education management, Dr. Mitskevich has built a distinguished career that bridges science and educational leadership. She is an Associate Professor at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University at the department of immunology and microbiology.
Her academic background includes dual degrees in immunology and law from Tbilisi State University and numerous international professional development programs in France, the UK, Spain, Hungary, and the US. She has led or participated in more than 20 international and local scientific and educational projects and has authored over 50 publications in high-ranking journals.
Dr. Mitskevich is deeply engaged in fostering international academic partnerships and remains an active member of both national and international professional associations. Her leadership at the International Education Center continues to expand global study opportunities for Georgian students, research, and academic staff.
