While awareness of mental health is growing, Erasmus+ students often remain overlooked in research and institutional responses. This session will call for a transformation in how mental health is treated, as an integral part of mobility. We will explore preventive strategies and share practices to strengthen higher education institutions' capacity to support Erasmus+ students' well-being.
Maria is the Communications Officer at Erasmus Student Network (ESN), one of Europe’s largest student organisations, dedicated to supporting and promoting international student mobility. In her role, she develops and implements communication strategies and campaigns that enhance the visibility and impact of ESN’s initiatives. She oversees communication activities related to key topics such as mobility, education, youth participation, and student engagement, ensuring that messages effectively reach diverse audiences and stakeholders.
Before joining ESN, Maria worked at the International Relations Office of the University of Strasbourg, where she gained extensive experience in the international higher education sector. Her work focused on developing and implementing communication strategies to promote international opportunities and mobility programmes for students, academic staff, and institutional partners.
Passionate about intercultural exchange and inclusive communication, Maria is committed to making international opportunities more visible and accessible to young people. Her professional interests include strategic communication, international education, youth empowerment, and the role of communication in fostering engagement and positive social impact.
