Johannes Gehringer is a policy officer at the European Commission, working within the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC). In the Higher Education Unit, he specialises in the Erasmus+ higher education mobility action (KA131), with a focus on advancing student mobility for studies and traineeships worldwide.
His academic journey—across institutions in Vienna, Paris, Zaragoza, Chicago, and Brussels—has provided him with a comparative perspective on education systems and the challenges of cross-border mobility.
