Let's talk about Euraxess centres. Drawing on examples in France and Germany, we will discuss how these structures effectively support the international mobility of PhD students and researchers. Together, we will explore the services they offer, their coordination at the national level and the added value of a collaborative European approach. It will therefore be a bottom-up discussion, focusing on concrete actions and initiatives that strengthen research support across borders.
Raquel Melara Bussetta is currently Head of the International Welcome Service at Université Clermont Auvergne and Coordinator of the Euraxess Auvergne Centre, where she plays a key role in supporting and integrating international audiences. As a board member of Euraxess France, she brings extensive experience in welcoming, advising, and assisting international researchers.
Drawing on several years of experience in multicultural professional environments, she has developed strong expertise in supporting international students, researchers, and staff in France. She also actively contributes to several national working groups dedicated to improving services and policies for this community.
Through her involvement in national and European networks, she helps strengthen cooperation, mobility, and knowledge exchange across borders. Her commitment to developing high-quality support services enhances the experience of international researchers and contributes to creating an attractive and inclusive academic environment.
Through the initiatives she leads and her active engagement in international networks, she also contributes significantly to the international visibility, reputation, and outreach of Université Clermont Auvergne, reinforcing its attractiveness to talented students and researchers from around the world.
