Established in 2012, the Monash Warwick Alliance is a pioneering model of international partnership between Monash University and the University of Warwick. Rooted in shared values of academic excellence and societal impact, the alliance integrates collaboration across research, education and professional services into the core of both institutions. We will outline how the alliance has remained relevant, resilient and robust, highlighting key outcomes, lessons learned and future directions.
Please note, posters are divided between the SEC Centre and the Crown Plaza Hotel this year. The approximate walking time between the two locations is 4 minutes. Posters ending between 01 and 16 will be found in the SEC Centre Concourse, posters ending between 17 and 30 will be found in the Crown Plaza Hotel, Argyll Foyer.
Narelle McAuliffe is Senior Manager, Europe (Campus and Alliances) at Monash University. She works across strategy, development, operations and communications in the International Portfolio, with a focus on Monash's major European alliances including the Monash Warwick Alliance and with the University of Padua. Narelle recently completed a secondment as acting Associate Director of the Monash University, Prato campus in Italy. Previously, Narelle managed the four-year teach-out of the former Monash South Africa campus. Narelle has a Master of Arts by research in Italian linguistics from the University of Western Australia. She was involved in the Australian Research Council Linkage Project 'Italian Lives/Vite Italiane' on the history of Italian migrants in Western Australia, including contributing to the development of an education kit. Her publications include co-editor of ‘The Italian Garden: Restoring a Renaissance Garden in Tuscany’ (with Cecilia Hewlett) published by Thames & Hudson and of the volume ‘Chinese Migration to Europe: Prato, Italy and beyond’ (with Loretta Baldassar, Graeme Johanson and Massimo Bressan) published by Palgrave Macmillan. Narelle is also a qualified teacher and has taught Italian language in the Australian university and school sectors, and English in Italy. Narelle is a member of the Association for Tertiary Education Management.
Corrina is the International Partnerships Manager for Australasia and Africa at the University of Warwick. Her remit involves managing the delivery of major strategic international partnerships and programmes across Africa and Australasia, including the Monash Warwick Alliance. Previously Corrina managed the U21 Health Sciences Group Secretariat, a network of 19 research leading university medical and health sciences schools based at the University of Birmingham Medical School and has over twenty years’ experience across Higher Education operations, international relations, marketing and communications.
