Nina Viberg

Nina Viberg is a researcher and reacher at the Department
of Global Public Health at Karolinska Institutet (KI), Sweden and the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Health a collaboration centre between KI and Makerere University in Uganda. Nina Viberg is a licensed pharmacist and holds a PhD from KI. She has extensive experience from the area of health policy and governance as well as evidence-based policy making and implementation of evidence based practice. In 2021 Nina returned to academia after
having served at different levels of the Swedish health system including, the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR), The Swedish Agency for Health and Care Services Analysis, A governmental investigation about implementation of national guidelines in health care, and the Ministry of Health. At the Ministry, Nina had the position of National Focal Point for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and coordinator within the government offices for vaccines against Covid-19. Nina Viberg coordinates a global network on health diplomacy and has active collaborations with universities in Ukraine, Uganda, DRC and Somalia.
