Tine Ternest
VIVES University of Applied Sciences, Belgium
Tine Ternest has been Domain Coordinator for Internationalisation at VIVES University of Applied Sciences since 2014. She holds a degree in Pedagogical Sciences from KU Leuven and has extensive experience in adult education and community development, having worked on projects in South Africa, India and Belgium.
From 2004 to 2010, Tine was the coordinator of the Flemish Justice and Peace Commission, a network of non-governmental organisations focused on social justice, human rights and sustainable development. In 2010, she joined VIVES as a lecturer in Applied Social Studies and coordinated the postgraduate programme on Sustainable Development.
Since 2016, Tine has led the Global Engagement Office at VIVES, where she oversees the Erasmus+ programme and a wide range of international projects with different stakeholders. Her work is centered on advancing global engagement policy strategies, promoting internationalisation@home, fostering futures thinking, interdisciplinary cooperation and strengthening reciprocal international partnerships.
