Bert Willems

Bert Willems is the coordinator of Student Accounting and Mobility at the Teaching and Learning Services of KU Leuven (Belgium), where he coordinates all central processes regarding tuition fees, mobility and scholarship administration, including Erasmus+ scholarships.
In addition to this, he has a specific focus on the administrative organisation of joint degree programmes, such as Erasmus Mundus programmes but also Europe’s first joint Bachelor programme in European Studies, as well as on the digitalisation of mobility processes.
He is also an active member of the community of Una Europa, the European University Alliance of which KU Leuven is a founding member, as co-chair of the Student Administration Cluster and as project lead of the ESCI project team. This academic year, he facilitated the start-up of the Interoperability Cluster of Una Europa, to allow the partners to work together structurally on this topic.

Veronique Eurlings

Maastricht University, Netherlands

Veronique Eurlings (MA) is an experienced higher education professional at Maastricht University and plays a leading role in the development of innovative European education within Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE). Her work focuses on innovation in higher education, international collaboration, and the development of joint European programmes. She led the development of the YUFE Joint Bachelor programme, created with 10 European partner universities and accredited through the European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes.

As YUFE Education Coordinator, Eurlings contributes to student-centred European education models that combine learning, mobility, and cross-border collaboration. Under her leadership, more than 2,500 students have participated in YUFE educational experiences across Europe.

She has represented YUFE in strategic discussions on European universities, accreditation, mobility, and the European Degree initiative. Eurlings was also involved in the Erasmus+ FOCI Project (Future-proof Criteria for Innovative European Education) as a member of the steering committee, contributing to the development of innovative criteria for the future European degree label.

Throughout her career, Veronique Eurlings has combined extensive international experience with a strong commitment to inclusive, collaborative, and future-oriented education in Europe.

Yann-Mael Bideau

European Commission, Belgium

Yann-Maël Bideau is a Policy Officer in the Higher Education Unit of the Directorate General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC), in the European Commission. Yann-Maël is leading work on quality assurance in higher education and the Joint European Degree.

Zuzana Ferenczova

VSMU Bratislava, Slovakia

Zuza Ferenczová is a tutor at the Scriptwriting Department of the Film and Television Faculty at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (FTF VŠMU) and a member of the local Project Management Office of the FilmEU Alliance. She also pedagogically leads the student-driven local podcast club, which produces weekly podcasts under the brand FTF Podcasty. Currently, she is enrolled in the Audiostorytelling and Podcasting Certificate Program at the University of Washington to expand her expertise in this field. As a writer, she has written a number of critically acclaimed theatre and radio plays, and has collaborated on several long-running Slovak TV shows as a script editor, scriptwriter, storyliner, and creative producer. At the moment, she coordinates the team of FTF VŠMU tutors and their entry into the Pathfinder Joint BA program.
