Collaborative Online International Learning initiatives are among the most widely applied methods to improve Internationalisation at Home. In the field of engineering, however, implementation of COIL initiatives is more difficult. Reasons for this include the broader syllabus, strict planning and schedules, lab teaching and lack of interest in internationalisation. Our poster suggests solutions such as ‘real remote labs’ and ways to awaken students’ interest in international collaboration.
