Mark Majewsky Anderson

Mark co-founded in 2023 to address the inequities in international higher education. Previously, as Director of Research and Innovation at Glasgow Caledonian University, Mark oversaw the University’s portfolio of approximately 175 projects and supports the delivery of the University’s policies and overarching 2030 Strategy centring around Social Innovation. Part of his remit was to reflect the University’s core mission ‘For the Common Good’ through a growing portfolio of research and innovation activities, reflecting the University’s commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In another role, as Director of the Europe Office, he exponentially increased the University’s engagement in EU funded projects, in particular through Erasmus+ Cooperation Projects for which GCU became the UK’s top beneficiary. The 20+ Capacity Building projects managed by the University focus on transforming research and innovation strategies in institutions across LMIC countries particularly in Latin America, Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. He speaks fluent Spanish having spent 17 years living in Spain, working at the University of Salamanca. In his spare time he is an avid writer of novels and plays, receiving a Master’s degree with distinction in TV Fiction Writing.
