This year's EAIE Spring Academy will take place at the Czech Technical University in Prague, CIIRC Building (Jugoslávských partyzánů 1580/3, 160 00 Prague 6-Dejvice, Czech Republic).

Hotel Diplomat and Hotel International are a 10-minute walk from the academy venue, the Czech Technical University. These hotels offer special rates for Spring Academy participants. As the EAIE only handles academy registrations, you are kindly asked to contact the hotel directly to confirm your booking. Please be aware that all reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card on the first day of your stay.

Hotel Diplomat- Vienna House
The rate for a superior single room is €109 and for a superior double room is €119. These rates include VAT, breakfast, free internet and fitness room use. Travel to Prague

Prague is a popular tourist destination, well connected and easy to reach from all major European cities. If flying to Prague, the closest airport to the academy venue is Václav Havel international airport. You can travel by train to Prague from all major European cities. Travel from the airport to Prague

By bus and metro
Václav Havel airport is situated 17 kilometres from Prague city centre. The public bus line 119 goes from the airport to the Nádraží Veleslavín metro station. From this station take the green metro line and stop at the Dejvická station to reach the academy venue. Busses and metro depart every 15 minutes and take approximately 30 minutes to reach the academy venue.

The ticket price for a single journey of 90 minutes on all public transport is CZK 32, which is equal to around €1.25.

By taxi
Travelling from Václav Havel airport to Prague city centre takes around 20 minutes and the average taxi fare will be around CZK 550, which is equal to around €21.50. Regulated and metered taxis operate from the airport, and they can be found at the taxi rank.

Travelling around the city

There are a number of ways to travel around Prague including metro, trams and buses. Tickets can be purchased at yellow ticket machines located at metro stations, bus stops and some newspaper kiosks. Tickets can also be purchased on some buses and trams. A single ticket is valid for all means of local public transport. Please visit this website for detailed information about ticket prices.

To travel from the academy venue to downtown Prague take the green metro line at the Dejvická metro stop and get off at Staroměstská.
