Workshop 11

Establishing and managing liaison offices abroad, step-by-step (sold out)

Liaison offices abroad have become a vital internationalisation tool for many universities in expanding their global reach. But opening and operating a liaison office so far removed from the home campus presents a variety of challenges. This workshop provides a step-by-step guide for how to overcome those challenges and enhance your university’s presence abroad. You’ll learn from those with experience how to cope with the legal, financial and infrastructure issues that often accompany start-up, as well as the communications, quality assurance and leadership challenges to the ongoing management of the office. By the end, you’ll have everything you need to develop a plan to establish or improve your university’s own liaison office abroad.
