Refugees, global recognition and lifelong learning: connecting the dots
The refugee crisis confronted authorities and higher education institutions across Europe with numerous challenges, including how to accommodate refugees’ admission, advanced standing or professional licensure, often without documentation. This session will show how these challenges offer new departures, not just for refugees, but for society as a whole, providing the much-needed tools to make lifelong learning – something called for by the Groningen Declaration – a reality.
