Poster session 206

How to integrate refugees into higher education: best practices from Germany

  • Thursday 26 Sept
  • Hall 3, Level 0, Messukeskus Expo and Convention Centre

German universities were among the first institutions in Germany to establish refugee integration measures, such as guest-student programmes, advising services and languages courses. The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) allocated €100m from 2016 to 2019 for this purpose, with the programmes igniting a process of rethinking and expansion for the support measures for international students at German universities in general.
