Conference theme: Bolder. Braver. Go.

In 2021, Gothenburg will celebrate its 400th anniversary. From its humble origins as a trading town in the Thiry Years' War, to its ascension to Swedish industrial powerhouse, to its rebirth as a modern mover and shaker, Gothenburg's penchant for boldness and history of reinventing itself in times of need make it the perfect conference host.

The theme 'Bolder. Braver. Go.' is an urgent call to action and an assertion that the time for change is now. When thinking about Sweden, you may naturally think of Greta Thunberg and her undeniable influence on the climate debate, defiantly calling upon world leaders and citizens to stop talking and start acting on climate change. The 2021 EAIE Conference in Gothenburg will be an opportunity for international higher education professionals to channel this urgency to take bolder and braver actions in tackling our shared global challenges.

Sessions

Image

Sessions give participants a quick overview – 30 or 60 minutes – of a particular subject. As well as knowledge-sharing, sessions should offer enough room for discussion.

Ignite© sessions

Image

Ignite© sessions are a fast-paced first glance at different topics, intended to fire up discussions. Speakers have just five exciting minutes in which to present an idea.

Poster sessions

Image

Poster sessions combine graphic and text elements into a poster to display a specific topic. Presenters are allocated a 90-minute slot in which to discuss their work with participants.

Workshops

Workshops are a training experience available to conference participants at an additional fee. They should be highly interactive and provide networking opportunities.
