‘Performing Sustainability’: studying peace and development in a Nigerian university

Performing Sustainability: Cultures and Development in West Africa is a graduate school collaboration between three universities in Germany, Ghana and Nigeria. It focuses on research that brings together approaches from the performing arts and culture for sustainable development, particularly in peacebuilding and conflict resolution. This session will focus on the effect the project has had on the Nigerian partner, whose context includes the violent, anti-West extremist group Boko Haram.
