English for academic purposes: holistic approach in a specialised world

This poster reviews a holistic, integrated English for academic purposes (EAP) curriculum in the English Language Centre (ELC) at a Canadian university. Reflective of its multicultural community, the ELC prepares its diverse student population for academic success via cross-cultural engagement. The curriculum includes mandatory non-EAP learning activities and assesses using authentic tasks. The poster offers qualitative feedback, quantitative measurement and an evaluation of the programme.
