Protecting the integrity of language tests: an example from TOEFL

The prevalence and sophistication of cheating has increased over time and challenges all test developers. This poster focuses on exam-security capabilities and enhancements that protect the validity of test results, helping to improve the quality of applications from students. We discuss the development and use of standards for the prevention, detection and communication of test fraud as well as the admissions officer’s role in supporting the process.
