Session 02.08

Elephant in the room: To revive or end exchange agreements?

Thirty years ago, when the first students were exchanged within the newly established Erasmus framework, exchanges took place based on the personal relations between professors. The personal approach that was introduced then still dominates a large share of European universities’ agreement portfolios. Connecting old practices with new strategies and either revitalising or ending agreements as part of this strategy is a scarcely discussed topic that this session will address.
