Boost brain power to support learning for international students

This session will explore the findings of research working with incoming international teacher-education students on identifying experiences of difference and structural disadvantage while studying abroad. It will explore how knowledge of how the brain works and the role of executive functioning in learning can increase the capacity of students to cope with new environments, rules, norms, assessment practices and self-identity.
