Session 03.12

An innovative model to host threatened and displaced scholars

With crises in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, to name just a few, support for higher education in emergencies is needed now more than ever. This session focuses on how hosting displaced and threatened scholars can internationalise campuses and contribute to supporting national academies in crisis. You will learn about the innovative partnership between the US-based Scholar Rescue Fund and the Finnish National Agency for Education as a model of response to the needs of higher education in emergencies.
