About this session

Rationales for internationalisation are multifaceted and can lead to a wide variety of policies. In this session, we will consider research in Canada and the Netherlands as we discuss national strategies and the reasons why they change. What motivates shifts in rationales and policies at a national level? What role is played by international developments, local needs and global market forces? And how do changes in national strategies affect higher education institutions?
