Registration and cancellation

How do I register for the Amsterdam meet-up?

Already registered for 2021 EAIE Community Exchange? Add the Amsterdam meet-up to your existing registration via this link. Enter your email address and your reference number (available in your registration record which you can find in your confirmation email). Not yet registered for 2021 EAIE Community Exchange? Add the Amsterdam meet-up when you register for the event. Please note: spots are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Your registration for the Amsterdam meet-up is only secure once payment has been received.

Can I register on-site?

On-site registration is not possible. Register for the Amsterdam meet-up online when you register for the 2021 EAIE Community Exchange or add the meet-up to your existing registration.

What does the registration fee include?

The registration fee for the Amsterdam meet-up is €89 and will be charged on top of your EAIE Community Exchange event fee. The event takes place on Friday 01 October and includes opportunities to network in-person and participate in virtual watch parties with fellow participants. Lunch will be served, in addition to a networking reception with open bar (wine and beer), and coffee, tea, snacks throughout the day.

What is the deadline to register for the Amsterdam meet-up?

The deadline to register for the Amsterdam meet-up is 21 September.

Can I only attend the Amsterdam meet-up and not the Community Exchange?

No, the Amsterdam meet-up is an additional experience for EAIE Community Exchange attendees only. You must register for the EAIE Community Exchange to join the Amsterdam meet-up.

What is the cancellation policy?  

Should the EAIE be forced to cancel the Amsterdam meet-up as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, participants will receive a full refund of their Amsterdam meet-up registration fee (€89).  

Are you infected with COVID-19 and no longer able to attend? The EAIE will fully reimburse your Amsterdam meet-up registration (proof of positive test required). Please note that the EAIE is not able to reimburse participants who are unable to attend due to local COVID-19 restrictions. 

Hotel bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours prior to check-in. In the event that you have COVID-19, you can cancel free of charge until 16:00 CEST on the day of arrival. All hotel bookings are managed by The Student Hotel. Please contact The Student Hotel directly.  

Logistical questions

How can I get to The Student Hotel? 

From Amsterdam Central Station, take Metro line 51, 53 or 54 and exit after four stops at ‘Wibautstraat‘. The Student Hotel is right next to the metro station. The whole trip takes about five minutes.

From Schiphol airport, take an Intercity train (in the direction of Heerlen) and get off at the next stop ‘Amsterdam Zuid‘. Change to Metro 51 (in the direction of Central Station) and exit after five stops at ‘Wibautstraat‘. The Student Hotel is right next to the metro station. The whole trip takes about 25 minutes.

Can a colleague attend the local meetup with me?

It is not possible to bring a colleague with you to the Amsterdam meet-up. Only registered participants may join the event.

What precautions is the EAIE taking in light of COVID-19? 

The EAIE will comply with current rules, regulations and guidelines in regard to COVID-19 and will work closely with The Student Hotel to ensure that the event is as safe as possible. All Amsterdam meet-up participants must show valid proof of full vaccination (within minimum 2 weeks), proof of recovery (within 6 months), or proof of a negative COVID antigen test (within 24 hours of the start of the event, Friday 01 October at 10:00 CEST) upon arrival at the event. Participation in the Amsterdam meet-up is at your own risk. The EAIE and The Student Hotel are neither responsible nor accountable for any infections or outbreaks that may result.
