EAIE Virtual Meeting Code of Conduct

The EAIE is committed to providing an inclusive and inspiring environment that encourages everyone to collaborate. We aim to foster a safe, productive and welcoming environment for all participants, speakers, volunteers and staff.

The 2020 Community Exchange is first and foremost about you, and creating a platform for interaction and engagement. This experience is built around personal connections via group video discussions, chats and one-on-one meetings. Everyone participating in these activities – and the broader event – is expected to abide by the following Code of Conduct.

The EAIE is built on inclusion, diversity and understanding; no form of discrimination or harassment will be tolerated. If you experience or witness any acts of unacceptable behaviour, please contact info@eaie.org immediately.

Unacceptable behaviour is defined as:

  • Harassment, intimidation or discrimination in any form.
  • Abuse of any participant, speaker, partner or staff member.
  • Disruption to sessions or meetings during the event. All participants must comply with instructions of the moderator and virtual event staff.
  • Presentations, postings and messaging containing promotional materials or product announcements, unless as part of a contracted commercial opportunity. The EAIE reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban users/attendees/participants who post them.
  • Participants should not record, copy or take screenshots of presented content, Q&A, meeting room conversations or chat records that take place in the virtual space.

The EAIE reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the meeting without warning or refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behaviour.
