Our partners
The EAIE maintains close relationships with a small number of strategic partners, with the goal of augmenting the impact of international education wherever possible and enhancing EAIE member value.
Higher-intensity partnerships are maintained with the following organisations:

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a non-profit international student organisation, whose mission is to represent international students, thus providing opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of ‘Students Helping Students’. ESN, present in over 1000 higher education institutions from over 40 countries, works for the creation of a more mobile and flexible education environment by supporting and developing student exchange at different levels and providing an intercultural experience also to those students who cannot access a period abroad.

The Academic Cooperation Association (ACA) is a membership organisation whose members are national-level organisations which promote and fund internationalisation of higher education. ACA serves as a platform for mutual learning and the exchange of good practice, for joint projects and other joint activities, and for advocating for members' interests vis-à-vis European institutions and national governments. It also serves as a think tank on issues of internationalisation and innovation in higher education.
Collaborative engagement also takes place with the following organisations:

Scholars at Risk (SAR) is an international network of institutions and individuals whose mission is to protect scholars and promote academic freedom. By arranging temporary academic positions at member universities and colleges, SAR offers safety to scholars facing grave threats. Scholars at Risk also provides advisory services for scholars and hosts, campaigns for scholars who are imprisoned or silenced, monitors attacks on higher education communities, and is a leader in deploying new tools and strategies for promoting academic freedom.

CANIE (Climate Action Network for International Educators) is a grassroots initiative and registered non-profit formed by international education practitioners from around the world who see the need and the opportunity for the education sector to step up and act on climate. CANIE is governed by a global board of volunteer directors and strives for a carbon-neutral and climate-literate international education sector by 2030. CANIE´s work is project-based with practitioner committees and chapter-based as the organisation aims to deliver regionally-specific content and networking opportunities.

NAFSA: Association of International Educators is the world's largest nonprofit association dedicated to international education and exchange. NAFSA serves more than 10,000 members and international educators worldwide in over 150 countries. NAFSA believes that international education lies at the core of an interconnected world characterized by diversity, equity, inclusion, social justice, and well-being for all. The association helps define and advance the profession of international education by establishing principles of good practice and providing professional development and networking opportunities.

Founded in 1950, under the auspices of UNESCO, the International Association of Universities (IAU) is the leading global association of higher education institutions and organisations from around the world. IAU is an independent, bilingual (English & French), non-governmental, membership organisation, open to both higher education institutions and organisations.
