Irina Ferencz

An internationalist, pure and simple. 

Irina Ferencz is Deputy Director at the Brussels-based Academic Cooperation Association (ACA), the international higher education organisation where she also started her professional career in 2009. Within the EAIE, she is a member of the Publications Committee (PC) since 2016. Her specific professional expertise is in the area of international student and staff mobility (data collections, trends, and policies), internationalisation policies, multi-level assessment of internationality and comparative analyses. She has authored, co-authored and co-edited multiple publications. Irina completed her undergraduate education in international relations and European studies at BabeĊŸ-Bolyai University, Romania. She also holds an advanced Master’s degree in European expertise policies and politics from KULeuven. She is enrolled as a PhD candidate at CHEGG, Ghent University, Belgium where she is researching internationalisation, identity and organisational change in universities and universities of applied sciences.
