Education for sustainable development is key to making our planet worth living on for future generations.

Gereon tho Pesch is the head of Student Support at Erasmus by Train, a student-led initiative which aims to link the Erasmus and Interrail programs for a more sustainable and united Europe. He gives presentations at universities all over Europe on sustainable travel in the context of exchange studies and is available to help with students’ questions on their specific itineraries and booking tickets. 

Gereon has expertise in mobility, especially the European rail sector, and international climate policy and has worked at environmental NGOs and universities. He studies Geography and Economics at the University of Bonn with a focus on sustainable mobility and just returned from his semester abroad in Iceland, where he worked on the electrification of road transport.
