Tiina Piipponen

My name is Tiina Piipponen and I am working as an International Coordinator at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland. For the past one and a half years I have had the great pleasure acting as a Chair for the EAIE Expert Community Mobility Advising sharing my views, experience and knowledge with the community. I have been working with mobility and internationalisation matters of HEIs since 2002, however international studies have been interest of mine since the start of my own studies with a degree from abroad and post graduate studies in an international programme. Having a degree in Intercultural Encounters, I am also involved in developing and implementing intercultural training course for study abroad. Strong know-how and long-term experience in mobility advising and intercultural trainings make me an excellent candidate for the Mobility Advising Chair. During the past two-year season I have together with fellow Steering group members been able to develop the Expert Community to make it more visible and accessible to members working in the diverse field of mobility advising. I am extremely enthusiastic to continue this development work as Steering group Chair to make our Expert Community and the EAIE even more valuable and beneficial for its current and future members.
