Tiina Piipponen

My name is Tiina Piipponen and I am an International Coordinator at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland. For the past three and a half years, I have had the great pleasure of being Chair of Mobility Advising, sharing my views, experience and knowledge with the Expert Community. I have been working with mobility and internationalisation matters at higher education institutions since 2002, but international studies have been an interest of mine since I took a degree abroad and carried out postgraduate studies in an international programme. I have a degree in intercultural encounters and am also involved in developing and implementing intercultural training for study abroad. Strong know-how and long-term experience in mobility advising and intercultural training make me an excellent candidate for the Mobility Advising Steering group. During the past two terms, I have worked with fellow Steering group members to develop Mobility Advising and make it more visible and accessible to members working in this diverse field. I am extremely enthusiastic about continuing this development work for the final two-year term, to make our Expert Community and the EAIE even more valuable and beneficial for our current and future members.
