Thierry Villard

I am Thierry Villard and since 2010 I have been a teacher at Bordeaux Institute of Technology, part of Bordeaux University, where I am in charge of outgoing students (mainly internships) and European exchanges. I am also an active member of the International Track, a study programme offering English-taught science subjects. For the last four years, I have developed an International Training project on mobile applications with our partner university in Germany, the Jade University of Applied Sciences in Wilhelmshaven. From 1993 to 2010, I was able to meet students from various backgrounds and work in different secondary schools where I lead many European projects. I was, for example, in charge of the European section of Merignac High School (Gironde, France). My job was to develop a cultural exchange programme with the Johan de Witt gymnasium in Dordrecht, the Netherlands. I now would like to join the EAIE’s Expert Community Language and Culture as a Steering group member to share my experience and my knowledge of multilingual and multicultural learning, which are essential skills for both teachers and students in the international classroom.
