Tewodros Kebede

My name is Tewodros Aragie Kebede and I am currently working as a Senior Researcher at Fafo Institute for Labor and Social Research based in Oslo, Norway. I have been working in the area of higher education, assessing the result and impacts of capacity building programmes within the framework of North-South cooperation. Recently, I have conducted an assessment on the Norwegian Programme for Capacity Development in Higher Education and Research for Development. I served as an external evaluator for the Finnish Higher Education Institutions Institutional Cooperation Instrument assessing various applications during the selection process. Currently, I am leading a consortium of European and African Universities that aim to address and streamline the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in teaching and research in higher education. I believe my extensive experience in the field of cooperation programmes will be valuable for the Cooperation for Development Steering group and an honour for me to contribute from my experience, particularly with lessons and insights on enabling conditions for effective cooperation programmes. I am particularly interested in taking up ideas of harnessing and promoting partnerships and address one of the key goals within the SDGs.
