Simone Hackett

If elected to the General Council, I aim to push for critical change and action within the EAIE. I see the need for the association to move forward and develop a strong vision and strategy, responding to challenges and opportunities such as global warming, international collaboration and equitable, inclusive education, as well as developments in online learning and innovative pedagogies.

Given my experience as a senior lecturer at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and an educational scientist at Utrecht University, I am a strong advocate of inclusive international education and environmentally sustainable educational practices. I see the need for further development and critical progress in these areas.

I have been involved in the EAIE for the last 12 years and have served on the EAIE Conference Programme Committee, which has helped me develop a broad understanding of the functioning of the EAIE and its Expert Communities. I therefore feel I have what it takes to support the EAIE in moving forward and adapting to the changing times.

Vote for me and together we can support the development of the EAIE’s strategy in responding to these future developments and challenges, and consequently make a more meaningful contribution to society.
