Sharan Chandradath Singh

My name is Sharan Chandradath Singh and I am the Director of Institutional Advancement and Internationalisation at the University of the West Indies (UWI), a regional University in 17 Caribbean countries with 54,000 students, where I lead Internationalisation, Fundraising, Alumni Affairs, Commercialisation and Executive Education. One of my core skills, which transcends all of these areas, is the ability to develop meaningful and impacting partnerships.

I have been able to create collaborations across the world with higher education institutions, governments, international organisations and the private sector that have had significant developmental impact. For instance, I am the Leader of three Intra-ACP Mobility Scheme projects (CARPIMS I, II & III) which involve the 10 leading universities from the Caribbean and the South Pacific and which has provided postgraduate training for approximately 300 existing and emerging leaders. I have also been the co-coordinator for the last Erasmus Mundus project for the ACP lot and I am currently leading a wide range of Erasmus+ projects.

I have been actively participating in the EAIE Annual Conference since 2010 and would be honoured to bring a unique Caribbean perspective and significant practical experience in meaningful international cooperation to the EAIE Expert Community Cooperation for Development.
