Robert Gilmour

My name is Bob Gilmour and I have worked at Glasgow Caledonian University for over 20 years in roles including lecturer, programme leader and research centre director. For the last 10 years I have planned, led and evaluated a variety of student mobility initiatives across the university primarily focusing on short-term European study trips. I am currently the International Mobility lead and represent the Glasgow Caledonian University on the Universities UK International Outward Student Mobility Network.  I am also the PI of an Erasmus Strategic Partnership focusing on developing transversal skills through interdisciplinary and international learning environments (10-day intensive study period in Scotland, Finland and the Netherlands). I am passionate about the benefits of mobility for our students and staff and keen on “widening access and participation”, as 40% of our students are from disadvantaged backgrounds. I would be honoured to share my knowledge, experience, skills and networks with the community.
