Michelle Greene

Fontys International Business School, the Netherlands
Michelle Greene

My name is Michelle Greene and I am a senior lecturer for International Business at Fontys University of Applied Sciences (Venlo) in The Netherlands. Before my position at Fontys, I gained experience in international business and in development aid projects. At Fontys, I have been very involved in curriculum development and defining the meaning of ‘international’ in a modern course of study in the economic domain. As part of that, I have been fortunate to set up some projects which allow students the opportunity to engage with other students and universities from emerging markets. The Expert Community Cooperation for Development is important because it can actively encourage developments within the international education community to build a global understanding of education which includes emerging and underdeveloped economies as a regular part of what is happening. This includes considering SDGs as well as North-South relations in general. I can contribute to this work by bringing in my personal and professional experience and the hands-on attitude of a lecturer from a university of applied sciences. I would be honoured to be allowed to use my skills and knowledge to support the Expert Community Steering group and the EAIE.
