Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, Norway
Marina Malgina

My name is Marina Malgina and I work as a Head of Section for Recognition of Refugees’ Qualifications in the Department of Foreign Education at the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (NOKUT – Norwegian ENIC-NARIC). I have been leading NOKUT’s work in developing and implementing recognition procedures to support refugees in accessing further studies and employment since 2010. Since 2015, I am involved in the development of the European Qualifications Passport for Refugees scheme and am a content coordinator in the pilot project ‘Recognition of Qualifications held by Refugees’ led by the Council of Europe. Prior to that, I worked for several years as a credential evaluator and a university lecturer. As an EAIE member, I currently serve as a Resource Person for the Expert Community Cooperation for Development and hope to continue to contribute as an elected member. I hope to be able to use my many years of experience in the field of recognition of refugees’ qualifications and international education in the capacity of Expert Community Steering group member. I feel that, after years of benefiting from the knowledge of the EAIE’s colleagues before me, it is time to give back and contribute to the Expert Community Cooperation for Development, which makes a difference.
