Marina Malgina

Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, Norway
Marina Malgina

I am Marina Malgina and I am a credential evaluator. I am proud of my profession and our work to promote the betterment of individuals’ lives and society by ensuring that educational qualifications are fairly and accurately recognised across borders.

As an international education professional with more than 15 years’ experience, I believe that credential evaluators and admission officers play a crucial role in facilitating mobility and advancing international higher education in Europe and the rest of the world.

I have been working at the International Recognitions unit of the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education since 2006. Since 2010, I have been leading its work in developing and implementing recognition procedures to support refugees in accessing further studies and employment. For the past five years, I have been involved in the development of the Qualifications Passport for Refugees scheme and am a Content Coordinator in the Qualifications Passport projects led by the Council of Europe and UNESCO. In 2017, I was awarded the EAIE's Bo Gregersen Award for Best Practice. I have experience as a Steering group member in the EAIE Expert Community Cooperation for Development and as an EAIE mentor.
