Karoline Opassen

My name is Karoline Opaasen and I am an Adviser at Diku, the Norwegian Agency for International Cooperation and Quality Enhancement in Higher Education. I manage programmes designed to encourage international cooperation and capacity building, such as Erasmus+, International Credit Mobility, Students at Risk, the Norwegian-Russian Scholarship Programme and the Norwegian-Chinese Government Scholarship Programme. In addition to this, I am involved in the work of developing Norwegian-Indian cooperation on higher education. I have a background in development studies and social anthropology. From living for more than two years in India and working at the Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi, I have developed a global perspective and a good understanding of challenges and possibilities in development cooperation. I am particularly passionate about equal partnership and best practice in development cooperation. It would be an honour to be able to use my skills to support EAIE members working with the Expert Community Cooperation for Development and to serve the EAIE community.
