Eveke de Louw

I am Eveke de Louw, Senior International Officer at The Hague University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. In this position I connect people and ideas, helping everyone to see their role in the process of furthering and systematically embedding internationalisation across the institution. I enjoy initiating contact between different institutions, stakeholders and disciplines in a wide range of projects, strategic alliances and cross-institutional collaborations (eg joint training and curriculum development). I am a creative global educator and intercultural enthusiast, and I believe that my combined experiences as a lecturer, a coordinator and a policy adviser serve the varied needs and interests of our community well, for both academic and support staff. My strength is that I see opportunities and connections where others don’t, and above all I am a positive team worker. In the past two years as a Steering group member of the Expert Community Internationalisation at Home, I have actively contributed to the EAIE by writing blogs and articles, doing training sessions and a webinar, and connecting student projects to our Expert Community. In 2019, I received the EAIE Award for Outstanding Contribution for my involvement – and I feel that I have only just got started.
