Dimitris Kontodimopoulos

My name is Dimitris Kontodimopoulos and I have been involved with international higher education since 2008. I am based in the United Kingdom and the University of Bedfordshire with a key focus is the development and management of TNE partnerships. Examples of my work relevant to the group include extensive engagement with an Egyptian institution to develop high-standard undergraduate programmes in diverse areas such as Mass Communications and Art and Design and the organisation of summer schools for Egyptian students in the UK.

I have also previously worked with a group of graduate entrepreneurs from Kenya in assisting them to deliver a Diploma of Higher Education in Palliative Care, a not-for-profit programme strongly focused on the practice in Africa and the development of practitioners from all across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Finally, I have worked extensively with schools in Chile and Brazil in developing professional training programmes for teachers and early-years professionals based in local schools, also providing work placement opportunities in these schools for UK-based students.

My drive to join the group results from interaction with students and professionals and the keen interest to assist others in finding ways of contributing to socio-economic development in the regions of focus.
