My name is Agnes Sarolta Fazekas. I am an assistant professor and chief coordinator for International Affairs at the Eötvös Loránd University Bárczi Gusztáv Faculty of Special Needs Education, supporting international engagement through strategic partnerships in research, teaching and knowledge transfer. I hold a PhD in Social Sciences. My research focuses on inclusive teaching and learning environments in higher education. I was an adviser on inclusion in the Erasmus+ Higher Education Working Group of National Agencies on the mobility of students, staff with disabilities between 2015 and 2017. The past two years, I was the Chair of EAIE Expert Community Access & Diversity. Through my international professional experiences, I have gained extensive knowledge and skills on European social-, disability-, education-, and youth policy. Personally and professionally I am committed to supporting and shaping the organisation’s vision, mission and values; and developing inclusive approaches in policies and practices which can support the EAIE to be successful in a rapidly changing higher education landscape. I believe that my extensive knowledge in this field, allows me to support the General Council as a member. It would be my honour to serve the EAIE in this capacity.
