Betty Leask

Betty Leask, Professor of Internationalisation and Pro Vice-Chancellor Teaching and Learning at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia has worked as a researcher and practitioner in the internationalisation of teaching and learning in higher education for over 20 years. She is best known for her research focused on engaging academic staff in the process of internationalisation of the curriculum, including Internationalisation at Home. She has published scholarly articles and practical guides on internationalisation of relevance to researchers, academic staff in the disciplines and those who support their work, as well as university managers responsible for policy development and leadership in internationalisation. Betty has worked with universities across Europe and her research is used across the world to inform strategic, policy and practical approaches to internationalisation. Betty is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Studies in International Education and won the IEAA Excellence Award for Distinguished Contribution to International Education in 2015. Her latest book, Internationalizing the Curriculum (2015) is available through Routledge.
