Matthias Kuder is currently serving as the Spokesperson for Higher Education and Research at the Senate Chancellery of the Governing Mayor of Berlin. Before, he was Deputy Director at the Center for International Cooperation at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany a unit focusing on strategic internationalisation. Matthias has worked in different contexts of higher education internationalisation for over 10 years. His key areas of expertise are developing evidence-based internationalisation initiatives and strategies, establishing and managing strategic partnerships, and managing liaison offices abroad. He has co-authored various publications on selected topics in higher education internationalisation, most recently the article Current Trends in Strategic International Partnerships (IIE/DAAD, 2016). Matthias studied at Universities in Bonn, Toronto and Berlin, and holds a Master’s degree in North American Studies and Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin.
